Zé de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Matungo Gaúcho's Toninho Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Haroldo Vides dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé de Senna, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Nascimento got free with Zé de Senna in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Haroldo Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Real Brasília FC - DMZ's Kauã de Queiroz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Dário da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
54 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Nascimento came free, but Zé de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Nascimento during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Toninho Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor de Sena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Betinho Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Brasília FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betinho Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Toninho Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matungo Gaúcho's supporters rose to their feet, but Toninho Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dário da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Brasília FC - DMZ had played much better football throughout.
