Dionisio Tono stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Amadeo Manuelo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nestor de Sena. That made the score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Vergaray was the one to do the kick off. Armando Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Dionisio Tono made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Armando Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Brasília FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionisio Tono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
