Spectators: 7554 (Terracing: 5667, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) Asensio Mendoza made the kick off and thus started the match. After 7 minutes, Franklin Polo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taltum FC and the Cactos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Taltum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Polo to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Lenílson Rodrigues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cactos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Kléberson Messias got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fabinho Simões. In the 24th minute, Fabinho Simões had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Cactos's Germano Bezerra was substituted for Fabinho Simões. Ordóñez Cuesta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Teles in the 29th minute of the match. Ordóñez Cuesta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Mellington Aniego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Cactos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Xinaro Cerdeira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Reinaldo Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Cactos's Amauri Prestes got control of the ball when Asensio Mendoza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo Teles made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Rodrigues in the 51st minute of play forced Taltum FC's goalkeeper Ordóñez Cuesta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mellington Aniego kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Lenílson Rodrigues's shot from long distance in the 56th minute was not bad at all, but Taltum FC's Ordóñez Cuesta knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After a rather tough play, Cactos's Ricardinho Valle got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cactos's Amauri Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asensio Mendoza in the 74th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Taltum FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Reinaldo Teles struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ordóñez Cuesta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cactos. After having played for 85 minutes, Xzavion Bustos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taltum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xzavion Bustos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Asensio Mendoza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amauri Prestes. Cactos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Asensio Mendoza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 90 minutes into the game, Asensio Mendoza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Amauri Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
