The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 26th minute Yago Polanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Alex Laguna in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Taltum FC's Piero Kahn. A collision led to SRP-Laguna getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Leonel Queirós hit a great ball. In the 33rd match minute, Taltum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Velarroa to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, SRP-Laguna's goalkeeper Faustão Custódio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yago Polanco. Rafael Ilardia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar do Nascimento in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Carlos Augusto de Moraes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Ilardia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yago Polanco to make the kick off. SRP-Laguna's Faustão Custódio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yago Polanco in the 53rd minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, Taltum FC's Yago Polanco made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 64th minute, Carlos Augusto de Moraes made a precise shot to the right of Rafael Ilardia. Taltum FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 67 minutes into the match, Taltum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar do Nascimento came free, but Rafael Ilardia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rafael Ilardia made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Yago Polanco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taltum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yago Polanco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustão Custódio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Yago Polanco came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Taltum FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yago Polanco couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute of the match, Nilmar do Nascimento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafael Ilardia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nilmar do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
