Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hakem Al Attar kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute of the match, Hakem Al Attar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ricardo Wong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ricardo Wong came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Tigers's Sayer Al Besher. But to his dismay, Sayer Al Besher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Daren Starnes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Golden Tigers's Fawaz Boland got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Otto Ciauri kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sayer Al Besher in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Wong saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Tigers's zone, Gilbert Jordan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Alberto Chilavert came out of the goal and Gilbert Jordan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Wong came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Tigers's Hakem Al Attar. But to his dismay, Hakem Al Attar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ricardo Wong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakem Khorshed in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Hakem Khorshed took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Ricardo Wong to make any attempt to save it. Hakem Al Attar came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardo Wong could save by the left post. Basem Al Baghli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Wong came out and tried to block the shot, but Basem Al Baghli slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 36th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Golden Tigers's Hakem Khorshed made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Wong was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute, Fawaz Boland fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malcolm Neal was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Wong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sayer Al Besher in the 54th minute of play. Hakem Al Attar struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ricardo Wong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Tigers. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Zamalek FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Golden Tigers:s goal. Ricardo Wong came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Tigers's Fawaz Boland. But to his dismay, Fawaz Boland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 69th minute, Hakem Al Attar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Ricardo Wong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakem Al Attar in the 72nd minute of play. During the 82nd minute of the match Lloyd Warren completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lloyd Warren a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 82nd match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lloyd Warren to maneuver through the defense. Zamalek FC's Ricardo Wong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakem Al Attar in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when Golden Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakem Khorshed didn't get a good kick on the ball. Malcolm Neal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. José Alberto Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hakem Al Attar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Golden Tigers had played much better football throughout.
