Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Carson Sherrill started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute 汪希瑜 collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Tuan Glover's late challenge caught a AIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tuan Glover helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Tuan Glover hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilhelm Alströmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ricardo Wong made a huge save. Bror Skoog scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Wong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilhelm Alströmer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Wong having to make a save. In the 18thth minute of the game Serbülent Salim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamalek FC's Ricardo Wong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 24 in the game by Wilhelm Alströmer from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Wong managed to make a qualified save. Zamalek FC's players were relieved. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Skoog didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Salqvist hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Zamalek FC's Ricardo Wong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Zamalek FC from getting a goal against them. AIF's Edgar Brenner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carson Sherrill in the 41st minute of play. Wilhelm Alströmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Ricardo Wong made a huge save. Junior Smart charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Junior Smart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Junior Smart hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Serbülent Salim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Wong came out of the goal and Serbülent Salim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serbülent Salim made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carson Sherrill during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carson Sherrill to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Tuan Glover. In the 57th minute of the match Wilhelm Alströmer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Wong skillfully saved the ball. In the 61st minute Zamalek FC were awarded a corner. Carson Sherrill went to the cornerflag to take it. Zamalek FC's Carson Sherrill was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgar Brenner in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Serbülent Salim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Wong didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bror Skoog went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Bror Skoog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to AIF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bror Skoog hit a great ball. Bror Skoog charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bror Skoog the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Bror Skoog. Carson Sherrill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, AIF's Birger Engström got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Alströmer in the 95th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Wong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bror Skoog's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Wong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. AIF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Zamalek FC for a fine match.
