After 3 minutes, Lloyd Warren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zamalek FC and the The Mongols players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lloyd Warren to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Wong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izydor Wydrych, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Abbe Muçollari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Ricardo Wong managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when The Mongols's Bernt Fredriksson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bernt Fredriksson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Wong came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernt Fredriksson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. When The Mongols's Bernt Fredriksson in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zamalek FC's goalie prevented a goal. Bernt Fredriksson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Wong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Mongols's Arvin Björkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carson Sherrill in the 26th minute of play. Ricardo Wong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Abbe Muçollari did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ricardo Wong 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Bernt Fredriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Abbe Muçollari kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Wong. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Wong should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Gunde Svan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Wong. The goal made the score 4-0. Abbe Muçollari charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abbe Muçollari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, The Mongols's Abbe Muçollari got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Bernt Fredriksson took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Wong. Ricardo Wong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The audience was convinced that Bernt Fredriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Wong was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Abbe Muçollari got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The Mongols's Isak Gustafsson was substituted for Izydor Wydrych. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when The Mongols was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abbe Muçollari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuan Glover hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 71 minutes of play, The Mongols's Bernt Fredriksson made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Wong was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Bernt Fredriksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Wong was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Bernt Fredriksson put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Wong. After 89 minutes, Carson Sherrill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zamalek FC and the The Mongols players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carson Sherrill hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute Bernt Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Wong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Mongols fully deserved thier win.
