An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Policarpio in the 24th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Wong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Wong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Demario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Foro took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Wong. Ricardo Wong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tadeo Errolan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernan Loren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Neal in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Placido Demario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Wong. Placido Demario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. If Placido Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Dogo Argentino booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carson Sherrill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Wong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Demario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zamalek FC's Ricardo Wong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Zamalek FC from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, Placido Demario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Wong. Zamalek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Placido Demario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Tadeo Errolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Zamalek FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dogo Argentino were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
