Golden Tigers's Fawaz Boland managed to work through AIF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fawaz Boland dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Carl Kilman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The long shot by Basem Al Baghli in the 21st minute really tested Marek Szostak's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Serbülent Salim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mortada Al Ansari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to AIF getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Birger Engström hit a great ball. Birger Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 汪希瑜 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mortada Al Ansari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serbülent Salim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sayer Al Besher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Marek Szostak made a huge save. After a rather tough play, AIF's Wilhelm Alströmer got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Fawaz Boland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Szostak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Wilhelm Alströmer. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hakem Al Attar to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Fawaz Boland came free, but Marek Szostak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henning Strandberg during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Strandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marek Szostak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakem Khorshed, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Marek Szostak came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Tigers's Hakem Al Attar. But to his dismay, Hakem Al Attar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Rida Al Hajri charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rida Al Hajri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, Golden Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rida Al Hajri to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, AIF's Serbülent Salim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mortada Al Ansari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AIF's Marek Szostak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakem Al Attar in the 71st minute of play. Hakem Al Attar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Szostak having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, 汪希瑜 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIF's supporters crossed their fingers, but 汪希瑜 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AIF's 汪希瑜 got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 汪希瑜 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakem Al Attar in the 89th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Marek Szostak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If 汪希瑜 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marek Szostak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakem Khorshed in the 94th minute of the match. AIF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
