In the 25th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brady Vernon to maneuver through the defense. Carson Sherrill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mortada Al Ansari having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Tigers's zone, Malcolm Neal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mortada Al Ansari came out of the goal and Malcolm Neal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when Golden Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khalefa Al Hadad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sayer Al Besher in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Wong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hakem Al Attar made a kick off. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gilbert Jordan hit a great ball. Malcolm Neal might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mortada Al Ansari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Malcolm Neal ran back to his position shaking his head. Carson Sherrill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Wong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakem Khorshed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Zamalek FC's Ricardo Wong got control of the ball when Hakem Al Attar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute, Gilbert Jordan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Jordan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Wong made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Hakem Al Attar sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the game, Golden Tigers's Hakem Al Attar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Wong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Golden Tigers getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Hakem Khorshed hit a great ball. After 92 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Jordan. Sayer Al Besher kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zamalek FC had won after a very even match.
