An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Valladares in the 3rd minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Zacarias Pero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Claudio Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Oroitz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiadores's zone, Luís Paulo de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Pero came out of the goal and Luís Paulo de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Relyn Futebol Clube's Juan Vieira got control of the ball when Wilfredo Monico tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Fausto Valladares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zacarias Pero. Gladiadores's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, José Augusto Capixaba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zacarias Pero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Amaral in the 23rd minute of play. Zacarias Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 33 played minutes Gladiadores got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Tercero. Wilfredo Monico succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 36th playminute. 38 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Amaral came free, but Zacarias Pero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Manilan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Florentino Gonchan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the game, Fausto Valladares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zacarias Pero. Fausto Valladares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After 64 played minutes Relyn Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Amaral. Zacarias Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Valladares in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Relyn Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Vitório Baiano hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Edvaldo Amaral sped through Gladiadores's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zacarias Pero. Gerardo Belmiro kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
