Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Justavino Cortez got the match started through his kick off. When Romualdas Karalius fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geležinis Vilkas's protests and gave Romualdas Karalius a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Romualdas Karalius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th match minute, Geležinis Vilkas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristupas Kirkutis to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Justavino Cortez came free, but Aldas Saulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vico Lloret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldas Saulis having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Romualdas Karalius reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Quiñónez Louzara. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Tauras Bagūnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vico Lloret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldas Saulis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justavino Cortez's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 28 minutes, Tauras Bagūnas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geležinis Vilkas and the FC Philotimo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Tauras Bagūnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vico Lloret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Aldas Saulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, FC Philotimo's Marcelo Martines nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aldas Saulis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Romualdas Karalius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Geležinis Vilkas's Romualdas Karalius ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Quiñónez Louzara. Quiñónez Louzara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rimas Labutis to make the kick off. When Rimas Labutis came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Geležinis Vilkas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rimas Labutis couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rafa Lloret kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aldas Saulis. That made the score 2-2 in the 56 minute of play. Aldas Saulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Martines, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Aldas Saulis made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Marcelo Martines sent off a good shot on target. Justavino Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Justavino Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Karolis Daubaras. After a defensive mix-up in Geležinis Vilkas's zone, Vico Lloret stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldas Saulis came out of the goal and Vico Lloret tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Philotimo's Quiñónez Louzara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romualdas Karalius in the 90th minute of play. The Geležinis Vilkas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Philotimo's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Philotimo.
