Zacarias Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Arlindo Teixeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Pero having to make a save. In the 17th minute of the match, Murillo Bittencourt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zacarias Pero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero got control of the ball when Arlindo Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when Gladiadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Manilan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Markel's late challenge caught a Abutres 2003 FDP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Cristóvão de Salles could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Zacarias Pero however easily saved by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo Bittencourt was the one to do the kick off. Zacarias Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Bittencourt in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Murillo Bittencourt notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero. Zacarias Pero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
