In the 2nd minute, Vico Lloret got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores's Edelmiro Tercero got a free kick in the 10th minute. Quiñónez Louzara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Iturri in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Markel during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Gaspar Markel hit a great ball. Zacarias Pero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa Lloret in the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Philotimo getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Teofilo Goicoolea hit a great ball. When Conrado Veremundo fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gladiadores's protests and gave Conrado Veremundo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Gladiadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. FC Philotimo's Quiñónez Louzara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Manilan in the 25th minute of play. Zacarias Pero made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Vico Lloret sent off a good shot on target. If Justavino Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Vico Lloret cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zacarias Pero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zacarias Pero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Martines in the 46th minute. Alberto Torrens's late challenge caught a Gladiadores's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Torrens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, FC Philotimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Torrens to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Justavino Cortez in the 52nd minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Zacarias Pero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Alberto Torrens shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Pero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafa Lloret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Philotimo's Mario Giner got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 67th minute Claudio Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quiñónez Louzara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias Pero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafa Lloret went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Gerardo Belmiro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Zacarias Pero came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Philotimo's Rafa Lloret. But to his dismay, Rafa Lloret quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Marcelo Martines blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Pero having to make a save. Quiñónez Louzara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Manilan, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Quiñónez Louzara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudio Iturri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 93 minute of play. In the 95th minute, Rodrigo Lecea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Philotimo had played much better football throughout.
