Abutres 2003 FDP's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quiñónez Louzara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Philotimo's Quiñónez Louzara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Bittencourt in the 41st minute of play. The wind increased when Justavino Cortez made the kick off in the second half. Quiñónez Louzara made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Cristóvão de Salles sent off a good shot on target. When Tony Passos fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Caio da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Martines, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chicão Ramos during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
