Alvinegro Carioca's Cássio Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Alvinegro Carioca from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Valladares got free with Cássio Aguiar in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Cássio Aguiar managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Relyn Futebol Clube's Fausto Valladares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alvinegro Carioca! In the 15th minute, the referee gave Relyn Futebol Clube a penalty. Luís Paulo de Barros looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Cássio Aguiar. In the 19th minute, Hermínio Ferraz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alvinegro Carioca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 23rd minute Beto Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Hílton Lago got a free kick in the 25th minute. Rony Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Reis during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Alfredo Reis got a free kick in the 27th minute. Hermínio Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Vieira having to interfere. Hermínio Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Hermínio Ferraz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Relyn Futebol Clube's Juan Vieira. Juan Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alvinegro Carioca's Rony Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Ferraz in the 43rd minute of the match. Juan Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermínio Ferraz went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Trigo was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Hermínio Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvinegro Carioca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermínio Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermínio Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Juan Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Relyn Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Hílton Lago hit a great ball. Alvinegro Carioca's Hermínio Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Vieira having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Juan Vieira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermínio Ferraz. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Silvinho Brodel took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Juan Vieira to make any attempt to save it. When Rony Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Alvinegro Carioca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Domingues couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd match minute, Relyn Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Félix to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Rony Domingues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Vieira. That made the score 1-6 in the 93 minute of play. Alvinegro Carioca's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
