In the 25th minute, Adomas Bacys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Alvinegro Carioca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Carlos Augusto Sampaio notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Geležinis Vilkas's Aldas Saulis. Aldas Saulis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Deimantas Valys was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Geležinis Vilkas's Cássio Aguiar threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Deimantas Valys, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57th minute Deimantas Valys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Valdo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adomas Bacys, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Adomas Bacys kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cássio Aguiar. That made the score 2-1 in the 66 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Carlos Augusto Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvinegro Carioca's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
