Spectators: 7578 (Terracing: 5684, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ricardo Kaká kicked off to start the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustaf Högström was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Gustaf Högström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yalçın Olgunay was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 56th minute Otto Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yalçın Olgunay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Kiewra was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 61 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Newcastle United F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blue Mountain State:s goal. The referee gave Blue Mountain State a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nuralp Şahinkan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Newcastle United F.C.'s Niklas Kvalfält. 3-3. Yalçın Olgunay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Walmarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Yalçın Olgunay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt-Åke Ekerot went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Blue Mountain State defense, Isac Walmarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yalçın Olgunay. The Blue Mountain State fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yalçın Olgunay should have stopped the shot. After 83 played minutes Newcastle United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Simon Västlund. 85 minutes into the game, Ricardo Kaká cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Niklas Kvalfält was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blue Mountain State's Muhsin Taze shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Isac Walmarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yalçın Olgunay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Artun Şenyurt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Mountain State fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-5. In the 99th match minute, Blue Mountain State was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Kaká to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
