After 5 played minutes KS Zgredy got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Wojton. In the 6th minute Gildo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwo Laba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of KS Zgredy booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gildo Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miau Stars's protests and gave Gildo Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute Gildo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwo Laba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwo Laba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Passos in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Wladyslaw Gajewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iwo Laba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 41 minutes, Washington Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miau Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Washington Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Washington Corrêa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iwo Laba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 46th minute, Nilson Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iwo Laba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ruy Passos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iwo Laba came out and tried to block the shot, but Ruy Passos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 58th minute. A collision led to KS Zgredy getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Wladyslaw Gajewski hit a great ball. Szczepan Korytkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Sidney Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iwo Laba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruy Passos in the 69th minute. Iwo Laba was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Washington Corrêa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Washington Corrêa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Iwo Laba came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Miau Stars's Gildo Dracena. But to his dismay, Gildo Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. With a little luck, KS Zgredy's Iwo Laba got control of the ball when Washington Corrêa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo das Neves in the 82nd minute of play forced KS Zgredy's goalkeeper Iwo Laba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iwo Laba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo das Neves in the 85th minute of the match. In the 97th match minute, KS Zgredy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenon Kojder to maneuver through the defense. After 98 played minutes, Miau Stars's Antônio Carlos Mello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iwo Laba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Miau Stars reached it.
