Wayne Rooney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Niklas Kvalfält made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Brodin in the 14th minute of play forced La Mora CAT's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Víctor Hernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Newcastle United F.C. defense, Coronel Canyelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niklas Kvalfält. The Newcastle United F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niklas Kvalfält should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Du Jian Chen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Niklas Kvalfält. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 33rd minute, Du Jian Chen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niklas Kvalfält was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 36th minute, Coronel Canyelles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Niklas Kvalfält. The goal made the score 5-0. Egil Lindman kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. La Mora CAT's Du Jian Chen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Niklas Kvalfält but with some difficulty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Niklas Kvalfält didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Coutinho went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to La Mora CAT getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Du Jian Chen hit a great ball. With 71 minutes on the clock, Boruc Petka commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 71 minutes into the game, one of La Mora CAT:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 73 minutes of play, Newcastle United F.C.'s Otto Jonasson made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şenol Güneş was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the game, La Mora CAT's Seve Grau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niklas Kvalfält made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Niklas Kvalfält came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by La Mora CAT's Severino Coutinho. But to his dismay, Severino Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. 88 minutes into the game, Severino Coutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-1. Niklas Kvalfält was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niklas Kvalfält showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Coutinho in the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Newcastle United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Seve Grau came free, but Niklas Kvalfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that La Mora CAT were the better team. La Mora CAT's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
