Manos Papaiakovou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 6th minute, Júnior Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Papaiakovou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 9th minute, Fausto Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Danone CC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szczepan Mosiniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Panagiotis Bourousis came free, but Otávio Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 39 minutes of play, Danone CC's Vladimir de Almeida made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manos Papaiakovou was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute, Fausto Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Szczepan Mosiniak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Pena in the 47th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júnior Veloso made a kick off. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Veloso in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Fausto Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Danone CC's Júnior Veloso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 63rd minute of the match Danone CC got a corner. Go Ahead Eagles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Szczepan Mosiniak ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Go Ahead Eagles's goalie and right to Júnior Veloso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Go Ahead Eagles's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 65 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir de Almeida came free, but Manos Papaiakovou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júnior Veloso during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Júnior Veloso hit a great ball. Júlio Pena took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. Fausto Senna took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Papaiakovou. In the 78th minute, Danone CC's Fausto Senna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-13. Ntinos Vounatsos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Fausto Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Go Ahead Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-15. After 89 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Lamar Walls. In the 91st minute, Danone CC's Júnior Veloso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-16. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir de Almeida in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Danone CC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Go Ahead Eagles throughout the match.
