Bertil Andreasson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 16th minute Fausto Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Granqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Štefko Müür came free, but Otávio Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunnar Granqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gunnar Granqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Senna went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute Júlio Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Granqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Danone CC's Júnior Veloso made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunnar Granqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Anton Kvarnström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otávio Massa was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Kvarnström in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otávio Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ademir Aparecido hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when David Alkvist came free, but Otávio Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Danone CC's Otávio Massa got control of the ball when Bertil Andreasson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute, Júlio Pena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Danone CC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. With an all-out effort, IFK Stockholm's Otávio Massa threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bertil Andreasson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gunnar Granqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júnior Veloso to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Alkvist in the 51st minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Otávio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 51 minutes into the game, Bertil Andreasson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Stockholm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Danone CC the free kick. A collision led to IFK Stockholm getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bertil Andreasson hit a great ball. IFK Stockholm's Gunnar Granqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save IFK Stockholm from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the match, Fausto Senna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gunnar Granqvist, 1-4. Júlio Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Granqvist having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Szczepan Mosiniak took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Gunnar Granqvist to make any attempt to save it. Gunnar Granqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Veloso in the 67th minute of play. Danone CC were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after IFK Stockholm's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Szczepan Mosiniak took the corner. Otávio Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Alkvist in the 71st minute of play. In the 85th minute, David Alkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Otávio Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. In the 90th minute, Júnior Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunnar Granqvist was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Júnior Veloso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Júnior Veloso really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Danone CC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
