Spectators: 7522 (Terracing: 5642, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Bourousis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Stefan Beller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Zelg FC's Garron Korner to fire away a dangerous shot which Manos Papaiakovou despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Stefan Beller came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Zelg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Beller couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Go Ahead Eagles's zone, Stefan Beller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal and Stefan Beller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 minutes, Stefan Beller made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Beller in the 20th minute of play. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Beller, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Go Ahead Eagles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Garron Korner was slow to take the kick. During this time Zelg FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 28th minute, Willem Migneault got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Apostolos Antoniou hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem Migneault in the 30th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Beller came free, but Manos Papaiakovou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Moustos in the 46th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Aurelius Bolduc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Zelg FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willem Migneault stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Stefan Beller took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Manos Papaiakovou to make any attempt to save it. The throw-in from Periklis Vakalis in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Zelg FC's Hektor Wasser. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Beller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65thth minute of the game Stefan Beller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Stefan Beller lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Manos Papaiakovou. In the 77th minute, Hektor Wasser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Beller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manos Papaiakovou having to make a save. In the 81st minute, Willem Migneault left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zelg FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Willem Migneault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Papaiakovou having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panagiotis Bourousis in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelius Bolduc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stefan Beller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Zelg FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Go Ahead Eagles throughout the match.
