Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Stockholm's David Alkvist. But to his dismay, David Alkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gunnar Granqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panagiotis Bourousis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Go Ahead Eagles from getting a goal against them. A collision led to IFK Stockholm getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Anton Kvarnström hit a great ball. Bertil Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Manos Papaiakovou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Go Ahead Eagles's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Anton Kvarnström scored to the left of an out of position Manos Papaiakovou, making the score, 4-0. 28 minutes into the match, Anton Kvarnström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manos Papaiakovou, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 32nd minute of play forced IFK Stockholm's goalkeeper Gunnar Granqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IFK Stockholm's Gunnar Granqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 33rd minute of play. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Go Ahead Eagles from getting a goal against them. IFK Stockholm's Gunnar Granqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 43rd minute of play. Bertil Andreasson took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Papaiakovou. Manos Papaiakovou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panagiotis Bourousis was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manos Papaiakovou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Alkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Alkvist in the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, David Alkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Go Ahead Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Alkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Alkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gunnar Granqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manos Christodoulou in the 83rd minute. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Andreasson in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Apostolos Antoniou hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Apostolos Antoniou got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Anton Kvarnström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manos Papaiakovou was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Bertil Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Manos Papaiakovou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
