In the 14th minute, The Shadows's Thomas Häll ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Serafin Unai. Serafin Unai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, The Shadows's Thomas Häll nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Unai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 28th minute Dănuț Roman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Röd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reine Eliasson's late challenge caught a -BZF- Valea Buzăului's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reine Eliasson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Reine Eliasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 played minutes, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Östen Röd came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in -BZF- Valea Buzăului reached it. Östen Röd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Spineanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Iona Tudora got a free kick in the 35th minute. A hard shot by Stig-Ove Blom from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Serafin Unai's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Häll got free with Serafin Unai in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Serafin Unai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Valea Buzăului from getting a goal against them.

Dănuț Roman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Östen Röd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludwig Bock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serafin Unai having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludwig Bock in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafin Unai saved -BZF- Valea Buzăului from getting behind. Ionică Buzgar in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Östen Röd, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Shadows's Östen Röd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ana Ţugui in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Teodor Finteșteanu got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute Dănuț Roman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Röd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, The Shadows's goalkeeper Östen Röd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dănuț Roman. In the 81st match minute, The Shadows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niclas Nordin to maneuver through the defense. Östen Röd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Spineanu in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Ionică Buzgar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Röd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucrețiu Joanță charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucrețiu Joanță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Shadows booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Joanță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludwig Bock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, The Shadows could leave the field as winners, despite -BZF- Valea Buzăului having more of the ball for most of the match.
