The coaching staff of Go Ahead Eagles protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ntinos Vounatsos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Go Ahead Eagles! Manos Papaiakovou had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Justo Onofre's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The Go Ahead Eagles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Perico City Grup were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Vicente Cebrian made the kick off in the second half. Apostolos Antoniou got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gerasimos Kallitsis. Aurelio Vistruario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Papaiakovou having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Christodoulos Vazakas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Onofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Manos Papaiakovou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Cebrian in the 61st minute. Fausto Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Papaiakovou having to interfere. Aurelio Vistruario was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Perico City Grup's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Panagiotis Bourousis kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Cebrian got free with Manos Papaiakovou in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manos Papaiakovou didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Aurelio Vistruario scored 0-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manos Papaiakovou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute, Aurelio Vistruario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
