After having played for 3 minutes, Rubinho Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Munique's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Rubinho Munhoz could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Enrique Lekubegi however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Hondo in the 6th minute of play forced Inter de Munique's goalkeeper Leopoldo Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Wilian Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Trigo came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Palermo's Anselmo Domingues. But to his dismay, Anselmo Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hamílton Abreu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Enrique Lekubegi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Enrique Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Munhoz in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Vachon in the 25th minute of play forced Inter de Munique's goalkeeper Leopoldo Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Hondo took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Trigo. Leopoldo Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Julian Birila hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Donato Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Ulises Hernandez got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Munhoz came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Rubinho Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Munique's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Munhoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Lekubegi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Vachon was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Anselmo Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Hondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leopoldo Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Lisandro Argi hit a great ball. Anselmo Domingues hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Inter de Munique's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Hondo came free, but Leopoldo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilian Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilian Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute Ulises Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Lekubegi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Meira in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de Munique's goalkeeper Leopoldo Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enrique Lekubegi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rubinho Munhoz's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Enrique Lekubegi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulises Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Rubinho Munhoz put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Enrique Lekubegi. Valdir Madureira hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Inter de Munique's Leopoldo Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Munique from getting a goal against them. 96 minutes into the game, Inter de Munique's Serginho Lopez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Lekubegi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palermo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inter de Munique.
