An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Dekens in the 7th minute of play forced Torekov's goalkeeper Kristian Albom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Zijdewind SC's Henk-Jan Slot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristian Albom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Torekov's Kristian Albom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk-Jan Slot in the 12th minute of play. After some careless play in the Torekov defense, Ferdi Dekens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristian Albom. The Torekov fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristian Albom should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Melvin Woering had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Albom. Torekov's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melvin Woering was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Torekov's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastiaan Schattenberg came free, but Kristian Albom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, Zijdewind SC's Henk-Jan Slot made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristian Albom was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Sebastiaan Schattenberg in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Torekov's Allan Säf. After 36 minutes of play, Zijdewind SC's Ferdi Dekens made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristian Albom was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kristian Albom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk-Jan Slot, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Kristian Albom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk-Jan Slot in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Torekov's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdi Dekens came free, but Kristian Albom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henk-Jan Slot was the one to do the kick off. Ferdi Dekens's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kristian Albom firmly grabbed it by the left post.
