After 10 played minutes Zijdewind SC got a freekick which was hit by Arjan van Zijp. In the 20th minute of the match Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a corner. Zijdewind SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hudson Peixoto ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Furtado in the 25th minute of play forced Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Mario Klompe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zijdewind SC's Mario Klompe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Botelho in the 33rd minute of play. Paulo Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mario Klompe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Jan Assendelft mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zijdewind SC and the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jan Assendelft kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henk-Jan Slot to make the kick off. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Franck Tinge with Ferdi Dekens as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 57 minutes, Paulo Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Botelho came free, but Mario Klompe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrianinho Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mario Klompe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Klompe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Viana in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Paulo Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zijdewind SC the free kick. After 81 played minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Botelho. 85 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Botelho came free, but Mario Klompe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Klompe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubens Viana in the 86th minute of play. Mario Klompe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrianinho Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Rubens Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Klompe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Klompe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Furtado in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
