With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atilano Intxixu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Filippos Kopelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Dimitris Petriniotis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Balesio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaggelis Pantelidis having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, GREEN LIONS's Ignatios Papachronakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atilano Intxixu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Atilano Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demis Laggizos in the 26th minute of the match. Atilano Intxixu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Filippos Kopelis. Ruben Balesio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demis Laggizos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Atilano Intxixu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Demis Laggizos got free with Atilano Intxixu in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Atilano Intxixu managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when GREEN LIONS's Demis Laggizos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Cordarin to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Demis Laggizos in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilano Intxixu saved Funebrero FC from getting behind. Atilano Intxixu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demis Laggizos, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Demis Laggizos put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Atilano Intxixu. Demis Laggizos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Intxixu having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Demis Laggizos made a precise shot to the right of Atilano Intxixu. Funebrero FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Demis Laggizos sped through Funebrero FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Atilano Intxixu. After some careless play in the Funebrero FC defense, Demis Laggizos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilano Intxixu. The Funebrero FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilano Intxixu should have stopped the shot. After 85 played minutes Funebrero FC got a freekick which was hit by Bishen Tangaa. After recieving a nice pass, GREEN LIONS's Filippos Kopelis tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ruben Balesio struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Vaggelis Pantelidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Funebrero FC. In the 89th minute, Silvano Cordarin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demis Laggizos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atilano Intxixu having to make a save. In the 93rd match minute, GREEN LIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Petriniotis to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GREEN LIONS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Funebrero FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
