When Léonard Keys came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Fly T.T fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léonard Keys couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Dino de Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Myles Berger. Fly T.T's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino de Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Narciso Ceresso got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Fly T.T getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Léonard Keys hit a great ball. In the 25th match minute, Fly T.T was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis McCabe to maneuver through the defense. Myles Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Fly T.T defense, Jorginho Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Myles Berger. The Fly T.T fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Myles Berger should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Humberto Gorman had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 32 minutes, Dino de Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Internazionale-RS and the Fly T.T players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Internazionale-RS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dino de Toledo hit a great ball. Luciano McKenna charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano McKenna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when Fly T.T was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano McKenna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Flávio Netto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Myles Berger skillfully saved the ball. Arnaud Lachapelle's late challenge caught a Internazionale-RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaud Lachapelle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute Arnaud Lachapelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Internazionale-RS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Myles Berger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 56 played minutes Internazionale-RS got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Oliveira. In the 62nd minute Internazionale-RS were awarded a corner. Flávio Netto went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Flávio Netto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fly T.T's Myles Berger did a great save. The audience was convinced that Arnaud Lachapelle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Godoi was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute Arnaud Lachapelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Ronaldinho de Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Myles Berger, 0-4. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Internazionale-RS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
