After a defensive mix-up in Furia Albiceleste's zone, Simon Canor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Caradaro came out of the goal and Simon Canor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Herrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The SAN MARTIN F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Furia Albiceleste were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Higinio Herrera to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Furia Albiceleste's Juan Fernando Quinteros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximiliano Astudillo. That made the score 0-4 after 56 minutes of play. Maximiliano Astudillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Higinio Herrera in the 62nd minute. The supporters of SAN MARTIN F.C. booed when Furia Albiceleste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position.
