In the 2nd minute Aquiles Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimír Žemľa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, ŠK Horelica's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Jakobe came free, but Vladimír Žemľa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Caradaro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jozef Koštialik showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Vladimír Žemľa came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Furia Albiceleste's Higinio Herrera. But to his dismay, Higinio Herrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 15th minute Jozef Koštialik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Caradaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimír Žemľa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes ŠK Horelica got a freekick which was hit by Paul Vestberg. Furia Albiceleste's Reynaldo Maureo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ŠK Horelica. After some careless play in the ŠK Horelica defense, Flavio Gaufred kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimír Žemľa. The ŠK Horelica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimír Žemľa should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, Furia Albiceleste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Piarres to maneuver through the defense. Furia Albiceleste's Guillermo Caradaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jozef Ondruš in the 40th minute of play. Guillermo Caradaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Šulík in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Jozef Koštialik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Róbert Šulík recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes ŠK Horelica got a freekick which was hit by Jozef Višňa. Flavio Gaufred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vladimír Žemľa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Gaufred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Higinio Herrera made the kick off in the second half. Vladimír Žemľa stood somewhat misplaced when Higinio Herrera came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 51 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jozef Koštialik in the 55th minute of play forced Furia Albiceleste's goalkeeper Guillermo Caradaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Furia Albiceleste were furious when Gabriel Rojas was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 57th minute, one of Furia Albiceleste:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Furia Albiceleste. Jozef Višňa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Guillermo Caradaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jozef Koštialik during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ŠK Horelica's Jozef Koštialik got a free kick in the 66th minute. Flavio Gaufred received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vladimír Žemľa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Róbert Šulík left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ŠK Horelica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Flavio Gaufred managed to get in a good position for a shot. Furia Albiceleste's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Gaufred was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimír Žemľa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Furia Albiceleste's Juan Fernando Quinteros got a free kick in the 76th minute. Guillermo Caradaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef Višňa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 minutes, Jozef Višňa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ŠK Horelica and the Furia Albiceleste players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes ŠK Horelica got a freekick which was hit by Jozef Višňa. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Flavio Gaufred took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Vladimír Žemľa to make any attempt to save it. During the 83rd minute of the match Jozef Višňa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jozef Višňa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After having played for 89 minutes, Jozef Ondruš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ŠK Horelica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jozef Ondruš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Juan Fernando Quinteros fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Furia Albiceleste's protests and gave Juan Fernando Quinteros a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ŠK Horelica booed when Furia Albiceleste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Fernando Quinteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbert Šulík might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Caradaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbert Šulík ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
