When Mehmet Bedri Rüştü fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Valientes's protests and gave Mehmet Bedri Rüştü a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 14 minutes, Bernt Lembrechts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esquirla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernt Lembrechts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th match minute, Los Valientes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Bedri Rüştü to maneuver through the defense.
