When Ernesto Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LOS MENTI's protests and gave Ernesto Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to LOS MENTI getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ernesto Barbosa hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Pete Pope put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Teodosio Isauro. 28 minutes into the match, Dorking United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Cuartio came free, but Trevor Burns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Cuartio to make the kick off. After 60 minutes, Tommy Sparks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dorking United FC and the LOS MENTI players grew even worse after the yellow card.
