The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armen Werthein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Zoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yefet Bar-Zohar in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domenico Sabatino saved Sorci Viola from getting behind. Yefet Bar-Zohar hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Sorci Viola from getting a goal against them. After 11 minutes Sorci Viola's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yehoshua Kolai who took care of the corner kick. After 13 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Zoff. Armen Werthein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Chiola in the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to G.R. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Janko Kaplan hit a great ball. Yehoshua Kolai hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. G.R.'s Yefet Bar-Zohar came free and shot a quick shot against goal 26 minutes in the game, fortunately Domenico Sabatino had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With a little luck, Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino got control of the ball when Yefet Bar-Zohar tried to sneak it across the goal line. G.R.'s Armen Werthein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Chiola in the 34th minute of play. Yefet Bar-Zohar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Domenico Sabatino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yefet Bar-Zohar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Domenico Sabatino made a huge save. In the 39th minute of the match, Janko Kaplan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Domenico Sabatino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janko Kaplan in the 43rd minute of play. Domenico Sabatino made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Yefet Bar-Zohar sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

G.R.'s Armen Werthein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save G.R. from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the match, Beppe Zoff notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of G.R.'s Armen Werthein. Armen Werthein was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 56 played minutes G.R. got a freekick which was hit by Snir Nachum. Beppe Zoff struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Armen Werthein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorci Viola. Domenico Sabatino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yefet Bar-Zohar, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Armen Werthein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Toninelli in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, Sorci Viola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Bertini to maneuver through the defense. Amerigo Toninelli struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Armen Werthein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorci Viola. The audience was convinced that Yefet Bar-Zohar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domenico Sabatino was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. The supporters of G.R. booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amerigo Toninelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Sorci Viola got a corner. G.R.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Beppe Zoff ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sorci Viola's Edmondo Bertini quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hiram Malik, made in the 79th minute of the game. Jett Sonnenfeld charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jett Sonnenfeld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, G.R.'s Jett Sonnenfeld got a free kick in the 80th minute. Domenico Sabatino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yefet Bar-Zohar in the 82nd minute of the match. With a little luck, G.R.'s Armen Werthein got control of the ball when Beppe Zoff tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anfilogino Chiola in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armen Werthein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beppe Zoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Armen Werthein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes G.R. got a freekick which was hit by Yoash Coppel. G.R.'s Armen Werthein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anfilogino Chiola in the 94th minute of play.
