David Ahlstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Di Giuseppe in the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Slottshöjden's zone, Amerigo Toninelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ahlstedt came out of the goal and Amerigo Toninelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domenico Sabatino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Elia Piermattei scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Ahlstedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Danielsson in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Al-Slottshöjden's goalkeeper David Ahlstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmondo Bertini. In the 20th minute of the match, Elia Piermattei tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Ahlstedt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Sorci Viola's Beppe Zoff got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 30th minute, Elia Piermattei reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Ahlstedt. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 38th minute, Amerigo Toninelli fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingvar Berg during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ingvar Berg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Eugenio Di Giuseppe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edmondo Bertini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Al-Slottshöjden's David Ahlstedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Al-Slottshöjden from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Al-Slottshöjden's David Ahlstedt got control of the ball when Beppe Zoff tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Arne Danielsson was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Al-Slottshöjden booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Vaiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sorci Viola's Amerigo Toninelli got a free kick in the 58th minute. Domenico Sabatino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Arne Danielsson in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Slottshöjden's zone, Beppe Zoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Ahlstedt came out of the goal and Beppe Zoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes Al-Slottshöjden got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Eklund. The supporters of Al-Slottshöjden booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Piermattei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorci Viola's Edmondo Bertini quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anthon Torsberg, made in the 73rd minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Al-Slottshöjden's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Piermattei came free, but David Ahlstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amerigo Toninelli hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Beppe Zoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. David Ahlstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Al-Slottshöjden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Berg to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Beppe Zoff sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Ahlstedt skillfully saved the ball. If Beppe Zoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Al-Slottshöjden defense, Elia Piermattei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Ahlstedt. The Al-Slottshöjden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Ahlstedt should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elia Piermattei in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Ahlstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaf Eklund during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustaf Eklund hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
