In the 7th minute Ingo Kuster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florian Galeone during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Goianésia E.C booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Galeone didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Elder da Silva managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elder da Silva. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ismael Jenaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westra Aros SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Jenaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gökberk Özgenc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder da Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Westra Aros SK were awarded a corner. Alexander Mendoza went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Westra Aros SK's Patrik Wacherhausen getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Attila Kertész kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Gökberk Özgenc scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder da Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Goianésia E.C's Elder da Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Goianésia E.C from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, Gökberk Özgenc made a precise shot to the right of Elder da Silva. Goianésia E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Diego Almeida missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 37 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Egon Olsson right hand side. In the 38th match minute, Westra Aros SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Arnuero to maneuver through the defense. Egon Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Faiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Jörn Hylander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Westra Aros SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goianésia E.C the free kick. After 40 played minutes Westra Aros SK got a freekick which was hit by Jörn Hylander. If Attila Kertész had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes, Sonny Bäckström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westra Aros SK and the Goianésia E.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Goianésia E.C booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Bäckström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Aparecido was the one to do the kick off. Attila Kertész came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Egon Olsson could save by the left post. The supporters of Westra Aros SK booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attila Kertész didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 54th minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Elder da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Attila Kertész got free with Egon Olsson in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Westra Aros SK's Jörn Hylander managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arrigo De Filippo in the 58 minute of the game. Gökberk Özgenc took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder da Silva. Elder da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 65 minutes of play, Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder da Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gökberk Özgenc took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder da Silva. Elder da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 75 minutes into the match, Gökberk Özgenc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder da Silva. Goianésia E.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gökberk Özgenc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gökberk Özgenc in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elder da Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 82nd minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Elder da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Goianésia E.C's Diego Almeida seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Diego Almeida the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Goianésia E.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diego Almeida had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Goianésia E.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Westra Aros SK:s goal. Normando Portillo did an outstanding performance 86 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 9-0 to the right of an irritated Elder da Silva in the goal. If Mário Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Westra Aros SK fully deserved thier win.
