The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cipriano Mergildo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of BAIRES:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Poli Timisoara:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Knoppertz in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leo Gaskon saved BAIRES from getting behind. After 10 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Uwe Lack. 11 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Dominic came free, but Thomas Schmuck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Thomas Knoppertz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Thomas Knoppertz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Leo Gaskon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Haug in the 26th minute of play forced BAIRES's goalkeeper Leo Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Gaskon was a little too slow when Ronny Felich got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 3-0. After 35 minutes of play, Poli Timisoara's Jens-Uwe Lack made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leo Gaskon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind BAIRES's goalkeeper Leo Gaskon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Jens-Uwe Lack had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Gaskon. BAIRES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens-Uwe Lack was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alberto Dominic made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Thomas Knoppertz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Gaskon was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, BAIRES's Marcos Domeka got a free kick in the 55th minute. Jan-Niclas Ebus struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Leo Gaskon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara. After 61 minutes of play, Poli Timisoara's Thomas Knoppertz made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leo Gaskon was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 played minutes BAIRES got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Lucado. Jan Kannen kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Alberto Dominic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BAIRES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Timisoara the free kick. After a rather tough play, BAIRES's Alberto Dominic got a free kick in the 69th minute. Dominic Haug kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes in the game Cipriano Mergildo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bernardo Lizbeth. Alberto Dominic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Thomas Schmuck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Gaskon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Uwe Lack, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute Poli Timisoara were awarded a corner. Patrik Andres went to the cornerflag to take it. Dominic Haug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Jens-Uwe Lack had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Gaskon. BAIRES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens-Uwe Lack was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Leo Gaskon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Knoppertz's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Dominic Haug made a precise shot to the right of Leo Gaskon. BAIRES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. In the 96th minute, Patrik Andres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
