Spectators: 7564 (Terracing: 5674, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Gökberk Özgenc started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Knoppertz in the 3rd minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Egon Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingo Kuster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Westra Aros SK's Basilio Arnuero got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Gökberk Özgenc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thomas Schmuck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ismael Jenaro went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 28 minutes, Dominic Haug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Haug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Gökberk Özgenc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Westra Aros SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Ismael Jenaro notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Poli Timisoara's Thomas Schmuck. Thomas Schmuck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Gökberk Özgenc came free, but Thomas Schmuck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poli Timisoara's Thomas Knoppertz got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Gökberk Özgenc notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Poli Timisoara's Thomas Schmuck. Thomas Schmuck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jens-Uwe Lack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Egon Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Westra Aros SK were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

54 minutes into the match, Gökberk Özgenc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Schmuck. Poli Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gökberk Özgenc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Poli Timisoara's Dominic Haug got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 62nd minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Thomas Schmuck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Westra Aros SK's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Knoppertz came free, but Egon Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gökberk Özgenc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Schmuck was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Jan Kannen made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dominic Haug immediately put the ball in play. After 77 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Jan Kannen. Thomas Schmuck came out and tried to block the shot, but Gökberk Özgenc slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 79th minute. Poli Timisoara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Ismael Jenaro scored to the left of an out of position Thomas Schmuck, making the score, 0-7. Thomas Schmuck was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gökberk Özgenc showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 90 minute of play. If Thomas Knoppertz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
