Spectators: 7552 (Terracing: 5665, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thomas Knoppertz started the match with the kick off. Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 7th play minutes Patrik Wacherhausen shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Thomas Schmuck and just under the crossbar into goal. Ingo Kuster hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Balla to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Schmuck came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Westra Aros SK's Gökberk Özgenc. But to his dismay, Gökberk Özgenc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thomas Schmuck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gökberk Özgenc got free with Thomas Schmuck in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Westra Aros SK's Basilio Arnuero got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ivan Västlund came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Poli Timisoara's Jens-Uwe Lack. But to his dismay, Jens-Uwe Lack quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Westra Aros SK's Ivan Västlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julius-Lasse Eichenauer in the 32nd minute of play. Uwe Kuinke kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Normando Portillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas Schmuck. Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Normando Portillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Westra Aros SK's Ivan Västlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Knoppertz in the 44th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Westra Aros SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Arnuero to maneuver through the defense. When Gökberk Özgenc came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Westra Aros SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gökberk Özgenc couldn't finish the play.

Ivan Västlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Uwe Lack, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Ingo Kuster took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Schmuck. Thomas Schmuck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Thomas Schmuck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gökberk Özgenc, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Sonny Bäckström hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Westra Aros SK made a substitution. Ismael Jenaro replaced Roberto Baggio. Westra Aros SK's Jörn Hylander was substituted for Normando Portillo. Sonny Bäckström kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Westra Aros SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingo Kuster to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 78 minutes, Thomas Knoppertz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Knoppertz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Uwe Lack in the 82nd minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Westra Aros SK's Ivan Västlund got control of the ball when Dominic Haug tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Thomas Knoppertz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Knoppertz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Västlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Poli Timisoara's Jan Kannen got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Westra Aros SK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gökberk Özgenc hit a great ball. Poli Timisoara's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Westra Aros SK had won, even though Poli Timisoara had held more of the ball.
