Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paulão da Silva kicked off to start the match. Paulopolis's Hakim Frémont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão da Silva in the 3rd minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Baiano came free, but Cido Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão da Silva in the 13th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Hakim Frémont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Rui Baiano. In the 20th minute, Elói Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Felipe do Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hakim Frémont. Paulopolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe do Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Eriberto Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C.CHUÍ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paulopolis the free kick. Lino Meira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Cido Schmidt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hakim Frémont didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulão da Silva went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Tasso came free, but Hakim Frémont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulopolis were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after S.C.CHUÍ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mário Simão took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Jorginho Guimarães managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C.CHUÍ's goalkeeper Cido Schmidt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Paulopolis's Rui Baiano got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Hakim Frémont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dudu Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Lino Meira made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Simão in the 58th minute of play forced S.C.CHUÍ's goalkeeper Cido Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elói Silva fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C.CHUÍ's protests and gave Elói Silva a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes S.C.CHUÍ got a freekick which was hit by Elói Silva. Lino Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Paulão da Silva came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hakim Frémont could save by the left post. A collision led to Paulopolis getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Murilo Cavalcante hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Paulopolis's zone, Luisão Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakim Frémont came out of the goal and Luisão Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Baiano came free, but Cido Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Paulopolis booed when S.C.CHUÍ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.C.CHUÍ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
