Magne Linqvist really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Jarl Kalfhage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Smedfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Magne Linqvist took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Knut Odin to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Vejbystrand booed when The Wild Bunch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaj Lööf didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Scottie Moal in the 20thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Knut Odin had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Vejbystrand's Jarl Kalfhage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Smedfeldt in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Magne Linqvist put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Knut Odin. Calle Rydberg hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Knut Odin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magne Linqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Scottie Moal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Knut Odin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magne Linqvist to make the kick off. Scottie Moal struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Knut Odin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vejbystrand. Jörn Wennerqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, The Wild Bunch's Mattias Hammarbäck got a free kick in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, The Wild Bunch's goal looked a bit too open when Scottie Moal came free, but Knut Odin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the The Wild Bunch defense, Scottie Moal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Knut Odin. The The Wild Bunch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Knut Odin should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Magne Linqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Knut Odin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Felix Stenquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vejbystrand's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Stenquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Knut Odin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Fred Smedfeldt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Wild Bunch's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vejbystrand the free kick. The supporters of Vejbystrand booed when The Wild Bunch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Smedfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scottie Moal took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Knut Odin. Knut Odin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Magne Linqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Scottie Moal made a precise shot to the right of Knut Odin. The Wild Bunch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Knut Odin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magne Linqvist in the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magne Linqvist in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Knut Odin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th match minute, The Wild Bunch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Wennerqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Magne Linqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Knut Odin was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. The supporters of The Wild Bunch booed when Vejbystrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Åkesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vejbystrand's Jarl Kalfhage proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Vejbystrand from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vejbystrand fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Wild Bunch had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
