Wojciech Wrzosek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Ziege read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Jakub Oleszak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmar Assing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uwe Ziege didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arkadiusz Mochowak went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jakub Oleszak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ebbo Böse in the 14th minute of the match. Jakub Oleszak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erkan Fostiropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arkadiusz Mochowak kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 18thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Rot-Weiss-Essen's keeper Uwe Ziege was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Wojciech Wrzosek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Ziege having to interfere. Denis Trenker's late challenge caught a Vęgoria Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Trenker helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Zbigniew Madej ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uwe Ziege was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Vęgoria Team booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erkan Fostiropoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Vęgoria Team's goal looked a bit too open when Elmar Assing came free, but Jakub Oleszak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes, Elmar Assing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rot-Weiss-Essen and the Vęgoria Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Elmar Assing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uwe Ziege showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Erkan Fostiropoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 3-2 became the score in the 70th minute when Wojciech Wrzosek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Uwe Ziege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkadiusz Mochowak in the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Hjalmar Blumentritt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vęgoria Team the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jakub Oleszak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ebbo Böse scored 3-3 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jakub Oleszak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ebbo Böse got free with Jakub Oleszak in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kazimierz Domaradzki charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kazimierz Domaradzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rot-Weiss-Essen booed when Vęgoria Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimierz Domaradzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vęgoria Team were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
