When Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Bruce Morin in 16 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Zé Paulo Bezerra guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The supporters of Qikiqtarjuaq FC booed when Premier FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Junior Stover in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Paulo Bezerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aílton de Queirós got free with Jason Achin in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Junior Stover was the one to do the kick off. Premier FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denver Grimes ran over to the corner to take the kick. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Qikiqtarjuaq FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
