The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes Sjötorp IF got a freekick which was hit by Fred Persson. Chris Nordås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthimos Farmakatos in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Sjötorp IF getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ruslan Voronkov hit a great ball. If Stig Tidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Nässén hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Hjalmar Dalman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Makis Efthimiadis. GOD OF WAR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hjalmar Dalman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Raul Seixas came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Sjötorp IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Seixas couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Ruslan Voronkov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sjötorp IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruslan Voronkov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Makis Efthimiadis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Hjalmar Dalman notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of GOD OF WAR's Makis Efthimiadis. Makis Efthimiadis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stig Tidén hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Anthimos Farmakatoss short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Chris Nordås to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, GOD OF WAR's Fanis Paouris got a free kick in the 30th minute. Anthimos Farmakatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, GOD OF WAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Tsiabras to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Hjalmar Dalman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sjötorp IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Hjalmar Dalman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Makis Efthimiadis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the GOD OF WAR defense, Ruslan Voronkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Makis Efthimiadis. The GOD OF WAR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Makis Efthimiadis should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Sjötorp IF booed when GOD OF WAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alketas Vertsotis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Sjötorp IF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hjalmar Dalman was the one to do the kick off. GOD OF WAR's Makis Efthimiadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruslan Voronkov in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the GOD OF WAR defense, Ruslan Voronkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Makis Efthimiadis. The GOD OF WAR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Makis Efthimiadis should have stopped the shot. After 63 played minutes Sjötorp IF got a freekick which was hit by Fred Persson. In the 64th minute, Stig Tidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 64 minutes, Charis Kastanos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GOD OF WAR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charis Kastanos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Makis Efthimiadis came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Sjötorp IF's Ruslan Voronkov. But to his dismay, Ruslan Voronkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 73 minutes into the game, Ruslan Voronkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Makis Efthimiadis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ruslan Voronkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Makis Efthimiadis made a huge save. Makis Efthimiadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hjalmar Dalman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Makis Efthimiadis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruslan Voronkov went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Hjalmar Dalman struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Makis Efthimiadis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sjötorp IF. In the 87th minute, Panos Tsiabras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Makis Efthimiadis came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Sjötorp IF's Hjalmar Dalman. But to his dismay, Hjalmar Dalman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 93rd minute, Sjötorp IF's Charlie Nässén seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Charlie Nässén the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sjötorp IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Charlie Nässén had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sjötorp IF! In the 95th minute there was a penalty for GOD OF WAR. Charis Kastanos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Chris Nordås. 1-8. Sjötorp IF played a much better game than GOD OF WAR and deserved their victory. The GOD OF WAR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
