When Gottfrid Adelsköld fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aero Björndalen's protests and gave Gottfrid Adelsköld a yellow card for diving instead. Gottfrid Adelsköld hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes Aero Björndalen got a freekick which was hit by Roy Roger. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roy Roger to strike the kick off in the second half. Isaac Marcones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. If Benicio Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. César Negro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 76 played minutes, Velez Sarsfield's Genaro Argina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niklas Brun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Velez Sarsfield reached it. Aero Björndalen's Niklas Brun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Aero Björndalen from getting a goal against them. Benicio Danel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Niklas Brun made a huge save.
