Egemen Toralp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Danel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramazan Afacan in the 9th minute of play. Uriel Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baran Alp Kose in the 10th minute of the match. Emilio Lizer charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Lizer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Emilio Lizer hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Benicio Danel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egemen Toralp. In the 18th minute Yakup Hacıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AKHisaR booed when Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramazan Afacan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, AKHisaR's Ramazan Afacan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Uriel Raymon. Uriel Raymon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Benicio Danel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egemen Toralp having to interfere. AKHisaR's Egemen Toralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Pierres in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match Velez Sarsfield got a corner. AKHisaR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Isaac Marcones ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Isaac Marcones almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AKHisaR's Egemen Toralp did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramazan Afacan got free with Uriel Raymon in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Maximino Soin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Benicio Danel made a precise shot to the right of Egemen Toralp. AKHisaR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Velez Sarsfield fans cheered their team off the field, for while AKHisaR had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
