The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Xabel Vallejo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedrão Sarmento. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Marino Brunet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Bueno in the 15th minute of play. Vista Alegre FC's Pedrão Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Vista Alegre FC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute Xabel Vallejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrão Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xabel Vallejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Villamayor in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrão Sarmento saved Vista Alegre FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, TurboUC's Marcos Guilisasti got a free kick in the 34th minute. Régis Barros hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Bernardino Larraín from long distance, 40 minutes into the match, got Pedrão Sarmento's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. TurboUC's Clemente Dechent shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pedrão Sarmento but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, TurboUC's Edgar Villamayor got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xabel Vallejo made a kick off. Hortêncio Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Marino Brunet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Vista Alegre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of TurboUC booed when Vista Alegre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Vista Alegre FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Benjamim Sampaio hit a great ball. If Diogo Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vista Alegre FC's Pedrão Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xabel Vallejo in the 83rd minute of play. Xabel Vallejo scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedrão Sarmento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marino Brunet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Zenaido Davison hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Pedrão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Villamayor in the 97th minute of the match.
