The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristoforo Iacomini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Fortun, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Pablo Mouche took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristoforo Iacomini. Cristoforo Iacomini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Javier Delgado scored 0-2 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristoforo Iacomini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Merceron United defense, Pablo Mouche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristoforo Iacomini. The Merceron United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristoforo Iacomini should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Fortun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Cristoforo Iacomini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, Pablo Mouche notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Merceron United's Cristoforo Iacomini. Cristoforo Iacomini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute Javier Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Iacomini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Onofre took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristoforo Iacomini. Cristoforo Iacomini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Onofre in the 29th minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Cristoforo Iacomini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ennio Guidoni came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Merceron United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ennio Guidoni couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Felix Firmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cirilo Micael made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Alex De Toni sent off a good shot on target. Cristoforo Iacomini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pablo Mouche went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.
52 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Fortun came free, but Cristoforo Iacomini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Conti came free, but Cirilo Micael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ennio Guidoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute Javier Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Iacomini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Mouche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Cristoforo Iacomini made a huge save. Cristoforo Iacomini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Onofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes, Ramiro Bertran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilar FC and the Merceron United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Pilar FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Bertran. After 68 minutes of play, Pilar FC's Javier Delgado made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristoforo Iacomini was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Pilar FC's Pablo Ledesma got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Samuel Onofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Iacomini having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Alfredo Antonelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merceron United and the Pilar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Fortun during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Merceron United's Cristoforo Iacomini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Merceron United from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Pablo Mouche made a precise shot to the right of Cristoforo Iacomini. Merceron United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. In the 91st minute, Samuel Onofre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pilar FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-12. The Merceron United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pilar FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
